Reposturing Body Work

Reposturing bodywork makes you stand up straight and feel great!

My Story and Reposturing Dynamics Bodywork

I’m a California native. In 1977, I suffered a broken neck from an auto accident and spent three months in a body cast. I had a lot of time to reflect and learned (the hard way) how precious life is. To aid and speed my recovery, I used meditation, and visualization along with putting healthy food and supplements into my body. I came out of the cast and the vertebrae had healed. I immediately started a physical fitness program; running, biking and skiing because, I COULD.

While moving along my path, I started an herbal business to promote wellness, weight loss, and increased energy. I realized if I wasn’t eating the proper amounts of raw fruits and vegetables, I needed to supplement. This is the way the body rejuvenates itself to stay healthy and vital.

One of my grand life accomplishments at that time was completing the California Aids Ride 2 in 1995 where I cycled 530 miles from San Francisco to Los Angles. I’m mentioning this because it’s how I was introduced to bodywork personally. There were massage therapists on the trip who volunteered their time to work on us when we thought we couldn’t ride any further. The results I experienced after the bodywork were incredible.

I also underwent Chiropractic care for six months after experiencing discomfort and tightness in my upper back and neck. My medical doctor had prescribed pain pills that made me vomit, and physical therapy that had no impact on my problem. After undergoing a treatment plan with the Chiropractor I made some progress. When my body was getting more balanced, I felt so much better. I was still missing one important part. I still had muscle tension and tightness.

In October of 1996, I was introduced to Reposturing bodywork. After I had a quick five-minute upper body treatment, my body responded to the work immediately. This was the missing link…the muscle work! Stretching the muscles made the pain and tightness go away. I was certified in Reposturing Dynamics nine months later.

Since that time, I’ve been certified in Postural Integration, Reiki I & II, Touch For Health 1,2,3,4 and Therapeutic Massage. I’m also certified to teach Reposturing Dynamics to those who want to become Posturists.

Now I develop treatment programs with my clients that have life changing results. This technique works and the body responds quickly. It’s something you can feel for yourself in the very first visit. The results are measurable and are attained by balancing the body’s weight bearing surfaces using the basic laws of physics.

What is Reposturing and how can it help you?

Reposturing is a hands-on system of stretches and massage techniques designed to restore balance and flexibility to the body to help alleviate soft tissue pain.

Using the natural laws of physics, this work will help your body to move the way it was originally designed to move. These results are possible because the body naturally wants to have freedom of movement, proper alignment, balance, and good posture. The effects of gravity and poor posture work against vitality and natural freedom of movement.

Over time we may experience such things as:

  • Back pain
  • Headaches
  • TMJ Syndrome
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Droopy Breasts
  • Swayback
  • Pot bellies
  • Stress

The wonderful thing is

all these conditions can be reduced or, in many cases, completely eliminated by realigning and balancing the body through Reposturing Therapy. More importantly, when the body becomes realigned, major changes start happening in other areas of your life. The benefits of this work are obvious as positive emotional, mental and spiritual balance is steadily achieved. You will feel the benefits after one treatment. These results are measurable!

I’m also a Certified Massage Therapist :CA State Massage #33938
